Staff Infrastructure Engineer (Observability)

As a Staff Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, scaling, and maintenance of Workato Observability Platform. You will closely work with Data Engineers, CI/CD Engineers, and Workato Developers as a part of a small, flexible team and will have a direct impact on the process of modernization and maturation of the platform including infrastructure architecture decisions.

We are currently seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Observability to join our dynamic team within the Infrastructure department. As the primary contributor, your key focus will involve constructing a robust global distributed observability platform capable of supporting all Workato components seamlessly. You will solve many non-standard tasks related to scaling, reliability and disaster recovery of the services with focus on Tracing and Engineering Events

Requirements

  • 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience in self-hosted systems related to Logs, Metrics, Exceptions, Traces.
  • Knowledge of Grafana stack and Prometheus.
  • Experience with Victoria Metrics is a plus.
  • Experience in building distributed and scalable systems.
  • Linux (skills in troubleshooting and identifying performance bottlenecks).
  • Understanding network architecture, troubleshooting and incident resolution skills in Production environment, writing Post-mortems.
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes (installation and configuration of operators).
  • Basic knowledge of one or more high-level programming languages, such as Python, GOlang, Java.
  • Configuration Management Skills, Infrastructure as Code Support.
  • Contributions to open source projects is a plus.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills in international technological companies.
  • Interest in modern big distributed storage technologies, architectures.
  • Good Spoken English to participate in product-related, architectural and technical discussions.
  • Proper balance between being hands-on and deeper analytical approaches
