Responsibilities for WordPress Developer:
- Jamstack approach for building WP websites
- Custom theme and plugin development for WP
- Support for existing WP sites
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve systems defects and/or issues
- Perform quality assurance tests and ascertain the cause of the problem when performance is not meeting standards
- Following of defined processes, methodologies and procedures
- Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to CMS applications
Requirements and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience and excellent skills within WordPress (Theme & plugin development from scratch is a plus)
- Experience with both front-end and back-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, and MySQL
- Strong understanding of architecture as well as the implications and challenges presented by WordPress framework
- Experience with custom module implementation within WordPress and other frameworks
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Developing and enhancing existing plugins
- Knowledge of Web standards and accessibility
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills :-)
