Senior Game Animator

We’re looking for a Senior Game Animator who will be responsible for bringing characters and interactive experiences to life through high-quality, engaging animations. This role plays a key part in shaping the player experience, ensuring animations not only look great but also support gameplay and usability. A key responsibility of this role is to mentor a team of ~five junior Game Animators, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day work and professional development.

What you’ll do

• Onboard, supervise, inspire, motivate, and mentor other Junior Game Animators.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of in-game animations, striving for continuous improvement.
  
• Create high-quality, engaging animations that align with the artistic direction and gameplay requirements.
  
• Adapt to the current animation style and technical constraints of the project.
  
• Work closely with designers, artists, and programmers to integrate animations seamlessly into the game.
  
• Maintain and update animation libraries for efficiency and consistency across projects.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve animation-related issues in collaboration with the development team.
  
• Ensure the animations support gameplay mechanics, usability, and player experience.
  
• Deliver clear and actionable feedback to mid and junior animators to improve overall animation quality.
  
• Follow and improve animation pipelines and workflows to optimize production efficiency.
  
• Be involved in playtesting sessions to identify animation refinements that enhance user experience.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years of experience in 2D character animation for games or interactive media.
  
• Previous experience working in a cross-functional team (e.g., collaborating with game designers, artists, and programmers).
  
• Proven track record of creating polished, engaging animations for mobile or web-based games is highly desirable.
  
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Animate (essential).
  
• Solid understanding of animation principles, including motion, timing, and character acting.
  
• Experience optimizing animations for performance across platforms(especially mobile).
  
• Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity) and experience integrating animations into game environments.
• Strong creative eye with an ability to adapt quickly to an established visual style.
  
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
  
• Strong problem-solving mindset and adaptability.
