What you bring

  • Previous experience working as Frontend Engineer/Developer
  • Solid understanding of Javascript ES6
  • Proficiency with React
  • Experience with Jest and React Testing Library or Enzyme in writing meaningful tests
  • Experience in dealing with ambiguity, taking abstract concepts and turning them into working software
  • Interest in building web experiences with scalability, performance, and API design in mind
  • Experience of leading the implementation and maintenance of large front-end applications
  • Attention to detail to create accessible and delightful experiences
  • Strong ability to work independently and self-guided
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop
  • Fluency in English
  • It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leading the development of major team-scoped projects, participate in cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
  2. Actively participating in product work in the team: providing feedback, suggesting solutions to the problems. Using technical insights and expertise to suggest product improvements.
  3. Maintaining good understanding of the team’s domain, both from product and engineering sides.
  4. Providing feedback on code reviews.
  5. Contributing to the shared codebase.
  6. Debug and solve technical and business issues.
  7. Participating in non-team activities, such as support rotations, hiring process, RFC discussions, etc.
  8. Mentoring and providing guidance to other engineers.
  9. Investigating, proposing and participating in implementation of improvements to our platform.
  10. Implementing interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind.
  11. Redesigning how engineering work ships with autonomous agents as the default execution layer.
  12. Proposing and operationalizing agentic workflows end-to-end (spec → plan → execute → verify) to deliver outcomes faster.
  13. Building reusable agentic workflows and primitives in the codebase so teams can apply them repeatedly across domains.
  14. Using verification loops (tests, checks, evals, guardrails) to ensure results are correct, secure, reliable, and scalable.
