We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-Time Junior System Administrator in our Cyprus office – a certified Great Place to Work®.
We are looking for a motivated and technically curious Junior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This is a hands-on role where you will support the day-to-day IT operations, assist with troubleshooting user issues, and gain exposure to a wide range of enterprise IT systems and tools. You will work closely with senior team members to learn, grow, and contribute to the stability and efficiency of our IT environment.
Reporting to: Head of IT Operations
Responsibilities:
IT Support & Systems Administration
- Provide first-level support for internal staff via Jira ticketing system
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding processes in various systems
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, printer, and network issues
- Help with installation and configuration of operating systems and software
- Maintain and update asset inventory and equipment tracking
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger infrastructure and support projects
Systems Monitoring & Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks under supervision (patching, updates)
- Monitor basic system health and escalate any alerts
- Assist with managing user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Google Workspace, and o365
- Support setup and maintenance of laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
Learning & Development
- Participate in technical training sessions and knowledge sharing
- Shadow senior team members in network, server, and SaaS administration tasks
- Stay updated on IT best practices, security principles, and emerging technologies
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (or pursuing)
- 1+ years of relevant experience in a helpdesk or junior sysadmin role (internships or student positions acceptable)
- Basic understanding of computer networks, user management, and system security
- Familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft 365 environment
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Proactive, eager to learn, and detail-oriented
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Nice to have:
- Experience with Active Directory and Google Workspace
- Exposure to Jira, Confluence, or similar ticketing systems
- Basic knowledge of virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Understanding of basic IT compliance and security concepts
