As a Junior Software Engineer at Xiatech, you'll be an integral part of our Engineering team and gain hands-on experience across our innovative integration product from day one. You'll learn the intricacies of our tech stack and work with cutting-edge technologies from AWS and Google. You will work as part of a cross-functional team and support the development of new features and functionality for the Xfuze platform. Key Responsibilities
- Actively learn and contribute to the development of new features and functionality, working towards independent project ownership.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to optimise existing platform elements, including integrations, APIs, Microservices, cloud services, and user interfaces.
- Translate product Epics and Stories from Jira into actionable development tasks.
- Work closely with the team to meet product development deadlines and feature release dates.
- Actively participate in daily stand-ups and collaborate with delivery teams to identify and resolve development blockers.
- Proactively escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and project progression.
- Participate and support the testing of newly delivered stories and ensure they deliver the required outcome
Your Knowledge & Experience
- A strong interest in software development, with some foundational knowledge (ideally in Golang or a similar modern language).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, including AWS and GCP
- Foundational understanding of backend development concepts such as APIs, Microservices, Databases, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, clearly articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated passion for working in a data-driven environment.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, capable of working independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
