Junior Data Scientist

We’re looking for an exceptional Data Scientist to join our Data Science & Machine Learning team, focused on the development of some key Machine Learning models that power our own proprietary ad-serving technology platform.

Responsibilities:

• Apply technical expertise with machine learning, quantitative analysis and data mining for our products that serve billions of ads every day.
• Develop predictive models that drive our business critical products.
• Conduct large scale A/B testing experiments to evaluate performance of different models.
• Propose and develop changes in our infrastructure for model development, deployment, and observability.
• Code deliverables in collaboration with the engineering team
• Contribute towards advancing the Data Science discipline at Exogroup, including but not limited to driving data best practices, improving analytical processes and scaling knowledge and tools.
  

Functional Requirements:

• Experience in modeling of complex datasets and a strong understanding of theoretical foundations of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning.
• Expertise in the following areas: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, Bayesian statistics, optimization techniques.
• Experience developing production ready code and deploying models in an agile environment.
• Comfortable working in cloud and high-performance computing environments (e.g. AWS, GCP, etc).
• A demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
  

Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

• BS/Masters/PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics or Data Science.
• Practical experience in a Data Science or Machine Learning role
• Solid understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning principles
• Experience improving accuracy and efficiency of large-scale Machine Learning models.
• Experience with deep learning and traditional modeling techniques.
• Expertise with core data science languages (such as Python, R, Scala), and familiarity with different database systems (e.g. SQL, NoSQL)
