Head of Network Engineering

We are seeking a Head of Network Engineering to architect, design, and manage our hybrid network infrastructure with a vision of building the best fintech in the world. This leadership role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive innovation in network engineering while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Challenges that await you:

  • Building a high-performance, low-latency, and scalable hybrid network for a fast-growing fintech company
  • Managing and securing public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) network architectures, including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, and IAM role management
  • Implementing and maintaining network automation and orchestration tools to reduce operational overhead
  • Leading the transition towards Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)approaches
  • Ensuring high availability, performance, and security across multiple cloud and on-prem environments
  • Balancing technical leadership and hands-on engineering work while driving continuous improvements

What makes you a great fit:

  • 7+ years of network engineering experience, preferably in a high-growth or fintech environment
  • Expertise in designing and managing hybrid cloud networks (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-prem data centers
  • At least CCNP or JNCIP certification, or equivalent deep expertise in networking principles and architectures
  • Strong proficiency with modern programming languages (Python, Go) and network automation frameworks
  • Experience with gRPC, Protobuf, and API-driven networking
  • Deep understanding of IP networking, BGP, VPNs, DNS, and firewall management
  • Hands-on experience with AWS networking primitives (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Security Groups)
  • Strong grasp of high-quality coding standards and software engineering best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex network issues
  • Ability to set priorities, balance multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication skills, positive energy, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation
  • Experience with voice technologies, including SIP gateways and trunks, SBCs, calls recording and monitoring, call routing and load balancing, WebRTC, WSS, and automations.
  • Knowledge of call routing strategies, IVR systems, softphones, and contact center workforce management tools

Your bonus skills:

  • Experience with zero-trust networking, network security, and encryption protocols
  • Hands-on experience with SDN solutions, network virtualization, and Kubernetes networking
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
  • Familiarity with network compliance frameworks and security best practices (ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI DSS)
  • Experience leading and mentoring network engineers and infrastructure teams
