The Deployment Engineering team at Luminai sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and customer success — bringing our AI automation platform to life for some of the most critical organizations in the world. As a Deployment Engineer, you won’t just ship code — you’ll embed with our healthcare customers, deeply understand their workflows, and drive the full deployment lifecycle from design to delivery.
In this highly technical, customer-facing role, you’ll architect and implement tailored solutions, navigate complex integrations, and iterate directly with users to maximize impact and usability. Our AI tools streamline essential but time-consuming tasks — like verifying insurance, enrolling patients, filing claims, and managing financial transactions. You’ll be the one making that transformation real, delivering high-leverage impact in mission-critical environments.
As an early member of the team, you'll shape both our product and how we work with customers — playing a key role in redefining what's possible through AI automation.
What You'll Do
Embed With Customers
- Work closely with end-users, product teams, and business stakeholders to turn real-world challenges into elegant technical solutions.
- Travel on-site to deploy software, provide hands-on support, and build trusted relationships.
- Go beyond implementation — become a strategic technical partner and problem-solver.
Build & Deliver Real Solutions
- Design, build, and deploy custom workflows using Luminai’s core platform.
- Own end-to-end deployments — from gathering requirements and architecting solutions to testing and real-world implementation.
- Write production-grade code to deliver high-leverage automation tailored to each customer’s unique needs.
Test, Iterate, and Improve
- Execute functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure high-quality, reliable deployments.
- Identify, document, and track issues, collaborating closely with engineering to drive resolution.
- Continuously refine workflows and deployment processes based on feedback and field insights.
Shape Product & Strategy
- Surface real-world insights from the field to influence Luminai’s product direction and roadmap.
- Spot gaps, suggest improvements, and work with the core engineering team to bring ideas to life.
- Champion experimentation and iteration — continuously improving both the product and how we deliver it.

Who You Are
- 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, forward deployed engineer, or in a similar technical role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Preferred backgrounds include Mathematics, Physics, or Machine Learning.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a builder’s mindset — you’re comfortable working across the stack and adapting quickly to new technologies.
- Strong coder with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
- Experienced with both manual and automated testing, and confident deploying, debugging, and maintaining production systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate directly with customers and translate complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
- Comfortable with ambiguity — you take initiative, ask good questions, and move fast without needing all the answers up front.
- Willing and able to travel to customer sites
