Data Engineer

RJ Games is an international developer and publisher of mobile and social games, headquartered in Cyprus. Our project Puzzle Breakers combines the simplicity of puzzle games with the depth of RPG mechanics, cutting-edge technology, and top-tier art. The game is live worldwide on iOS/Android, with tens of thousands of players enjoying it every day. And we’re not planning to stop there!

All key decisions related to game economy and monetization, as well as experiments with new content and game modes, are fully data-driven. That’s why data accuracy, storage reliability and stability, seamless integration between data sources, and fast response to incidents are critically important to us.

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our analytics team, who will be responsible for maintaining and developing the existing data infrastructure.

Our tech stack: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Airflow, GitLab, Python, R.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the existing data platform (in-house solution).
• Maintain and develop ETL processes and their orchestration.
• Monitor data freshness, consistency, and quality.
• Handle incidents, including data correction and recovery in case of failures.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL skills.
• Strong Python proficiency.
• Understanding of ETL principles, including orchestration.
• Confident use of Git and the Linux command line.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of R (required to support legacy solutions).
• Experience in game development.
• Experience working with Tableau.
